A bit of a delay in posting yet it doesn’t change the fun we had at our recent Sew-In. If you wanted to see a bunch of industrious women then you missed it this particular day.
First on the agenda was our Charity Quilt and the many blocks that members had stitched. We should mention that for many of our members sewing a curved piece was a learning curve in itself. They did a wonderful job and big hats off and kudos to them, everyone appreciated the help and effort.
Heather, our QuiltCon Charity Quilt leader, was busy all day adding more blocks and with a room effort we shuffled those curves pieces around more times than Gilligan ran around the Island from the Skipper. Trying to find something that has a Fibonacci Element and lots of suggestions is harder than it may look to the naked eye!
Did I mention the fun that we had and the laughter that ensued too ?
All around it was a wonderful day of Quilting Kinship, many of us did work on our individual projects but to be honest, the building of the Charity Quilt was the centre of attention all day ( except for lunch that was awesome, tasty and I think we all went back to second servings)
Have a peek at our Work In Progress and tell us what you think!
